We currently offer certification for the following summer enrichment programs: Architecture & Planning, Remedial Academics, and The Arts. Our certified curricula are available at cost through our partner organization's websites. The material for Summer Enrichment is structured around a two-week course. Please click on a specific program to view the associated material.
Summer Enrichment allows students to continue pursuing academic interests even after the school year has ended. The specialized courses are intended to match students' innate interests, which are represented as good jobs in the local economy. Each program is designed to be modeled after the best Experts from that profession, according to our Partner Organization for that discipline.
Students benefit from having a portfolio completed as part of the two-week program that they can show to prospective colleges and employers. It encapsulates the type of work that was done, the content of the work, and the quality of the work. Students can look back on the work and review it, improve it, and add to it.
Education works when it follows the natural learning process that is hard-wired into us. Real-world problem-solving is important because students want to learn information that is necessary for solving the problem. The knowledge stays with them as experiennce because of the practical purpose behind it, which activated their curosity and connected it to their lives.
